IHS operates as an interdisciplinary, interschool and interfaculty Group within UWA.
We seek close collaboration with all disciplines, schools and faculties concerned with the human condition and human futures. IHS is responsible to the School of Anatomy & Human Biology within the Faculty of Life & Physical Sciences. It comprises salaried staff, a Policy and Management Committee an Advisory Committee, Members and Associates.

The role of the Policy and Management Committee is to: Guide overall direction of IHS Oversee the management of IHS activities. Represent disciplinary, faculty and central university interests.

The role of the Advisory Board is to: Represent and foster collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including national and international teaching and research institutes, government, industry and the public.
Members
Members are involved directly in IHS activities through collaborative research, teaching or communication and extension activities. They include UWA representatives from participating disciplines, schools and faculties and other institutions nationally and internationally.
Associates
