The Graduate Certificate and Diploma courses combine coursework and research in a range of interdisciplinary areas related to human wellbeing in a sustainable environment.
Coursework units introduce students to Integrated Human Studies and its associated methodologies, while the research component allows students to conduct their own interdisciplinary investigations by putting what they have learnt into practice. The first four units comprise the Certificate, with the remainder making up the full Diploma.
This course may lead on to further studies in the Master of Integrated Human Studies.
In 2010 Graduate Certificate and Diploma of Integrated Human Studies courses will be offered on-campus and fully online.
Students completing the first four six-point units qualify for a Certificate in Integrated Human Studies. A further two six-point units, and a twelve-point collaborative research inquiry complete the 48 points required for the Diploma:
Unit outlines are on our Education for World Futures website.
Applicants are normally expected to possess a three-year bachelor's degree from The University of Western Australia, or equivalent as recognised by the University.
