Centre Director Neville Bruce speaks at Oxford University

Associate Professor Neville Bruce addressed the 50th Anniversary Meeting of the Society for the Study of Human Biology (SSHB) at Oxford University on April 3.  In his talk, he stressed that a holistic, integrated approach to study is the key to humankind’s ability to address problems facing the planet this century, and that this approach must be underpinned by inclusive and equitable values. He also argued that the fields of Human Biology and Human Ecology – already exemplars of fields that integrate multiple disciplines and that can be directed at global human problems – must join with Integrated Human Studies and take a leading role in academia, government and public understanding and activity.
